PNG is lossless, so text, screenshots, logos and line art stay razor sharp — which is exactly why it is the wrong format to re-compress on the way into a PDF. The real question with PNG is the alpha channel: PDF pages have no concept of transparency, so something has to sit behind it. Docqify lets you choose white, black, or any colour as the page background rather than silently flattening to white, and it detects which of your files actually carry transparency instead of guessing from the file extension.
Why Docqify
Most converters give you a file picker and a download button. Docqify gives you the whole document.
There is no upload step because there is no server. Your photos are decoded, edited and assembled by your own browser — we could not see them if we wanted to.
Optional recognition embeds every word invisibly behind the page, so your scans are searchable and copyable. Free, and it never leaves your device.
Conversion runs in a background thread, so a folder of 300 photos never freezes the page.
Install it once and Docqify keeps working with no connection at all. Nothing to sign up for.
How it works
Drag them anywhere on the page, browse, paste from the clipboard, or pick straight from your phone’s gallery.
Reorder by dragging, rotate in a tap, crop and colour-correct. Set the page size, margins and watermark.
One click builds the PDF on your device. Preview it, then download — or protect it with a password first.
