Add page numbers exactly where you want

Number the pages and watch where they land. Your file never leaves this device.

You can see it before you commit

Numbering a PDF usually means choosing a corner from a diagram and finding out afterwards that the number sits on top of your footer. Docqify draws the first page with the number already in place, positioned by the very same calculation that writes the file, so what you are looking at is the result rather than an illustration of it. Change the corner, the size or the margin and the page updates as you go.

  • Numbers are drawn as real text, so they stay sharp at any zoom and can be selected and searched like the rest of the document.
  • Pages that are stored rotated are handled properly. The bottom of a sideways page is the bottom you can see, not the bottom the file happens to record.
  • You can start counting from any number and skip a title page, and the total counts the pages being numbered — so numbering pages 3 to 12 reads 1 of 10, which is the document the reader is holding.
  • Everything runs on your device. The page ships a Content Security Policy that blocks connections to any other origin, so a document you number here cannot be sent anywhere.

The same guarantee applies to every one of these: the file is opened by your browser, worked on there, and never sent anywhere.
