Do my iPhone photos get uploaded anywhere?

No, and the browser enforces it rather than us promising it. The page is served with a Content-Security-Policy that permits no off-origin connections at all, so it is structurally incapable of sending your photos anywhere. You can verify it in the response headers.

Why can nothing on my computer open HEIC files?

HEIC uses the HEVC codec, which is patent-encumbered, so Windows and many applications do not ship a decoder by default. Docqify carries its own decoder in the page, which is why it works without you installing a codec pack or paying for an extension.

Is the location data in my photos included in the PDF?

No. Docqify reads only the pixels and the orientation tag. GPS coordinates, timestamps, device model and every other EXIF field are dropped when the page is drawn, so the PDF you share does not carry them.
